About us
Noon Barbari started from a single grumpy observation: every "trading bot" sold to retail is either a black box, a signal channel in a trench coat, or a hosted backtester that charges you twice and still hides the math. We thought retail traders could have better.
So we built a workbench you can audit end-to-end. Strategies are plain YAML. Backtests are reproducible. Walk-forward is built in, not a paid add-on. Your keys stay on your machine, your money stays on the venues you already trust, and pricing fits on one line: free, 15 USDT, or 49 USDT a month — no card on file.
Six opinions that shape every screen, command, and price tag.
Every rule, every guard, every indicator parameter is in a file you can read, diff, and version. If you can't read your own strategy, you don't own it.
Live trading happens through your own venue API keys, scoped to your machine. We don't custody funds and we never will. No omnibus account, no "trust us" margin.
Any number that came from a single in-sample run is a lie of omission. The optimizer trains on a window, scores on the next one, then rolls forward — and the robustness score follows you everywhere.
The free tier runs one full strategy on the live engine, with paper trading, indefinitely. It's the same code the paid tiers use. We'd rather lose the upsell than pretend free means crippled.
No copy-trading. No "sentiment AI." No signal service. No Discord pump room. We're a workbench — you write the rules, the engine runs them, you keep the P&L and the responsibility.
15 or 49 USDT a month, paid on-chain via NOWPayments. No card on file, no auto-renew traps, no "per-strategy" overage line. Cancel by simply not paying next month.
How we got here and what we chose to do differently.
Noon Barbari started in early 2026 as one trader's frustration spreadsheet. Every retail quant tool we tried felt subtly wrong in the same direction. TradingView made strategies easy to write but kept the optimizer locked behind a tier that capped concurrent backtests, and the runtime never gave you the underlying matrix of returns. Cloud bot platforms wanted custody of API keys and a percentage of profits. "AI trading" companies sold subscriptions to scoring models nobody could inspect. And almost all of them treated walk-forward optimization — the single most important defense against curve-fitting — as a premium feature, a quarterly report PDF, or skipped it entirely. The pattern was always the same: charge for the part that hurts to do honestly, hide the part that makes the marketing copy look bad.
We wanted something different. A workbench where the strategy is text you own, the engine is one you could in principle run yourself if it ever came to it, and the metrics are conservative on purpose. Walk-forward is the default, not an upsell. Paper trading is the same engine as live, just pointed at Alpaca. Pricing is two flat numbers in USDT, settled on-chain through NOWPayments — no card on file, no auto-renew trap, no overage line that creeps in on month three. If we ever fold the doors, your YAML files still run on your own machine and your venue keys never leave it.
We've kept the scope small on purpose. We are not building a social network for traders, an NFT marketplace, or a copy-trading platform. We are building a clean rule engine, an honest backtester, and the smallest possible UI on top — the Telegram bot, the dashboard, and a thin mobile app. The roadmap is public and voted on. Most of what ships next is what someone in the open beta asked for the week before. If you want to know what we believe, scroll up; if you want to know what we ship, scroll down.
What actually shipped, in order. No vapor.
Marketing site goes live. The rule engine, backtester, and Telegram bot are usable end-to-end on a private staging environment.
Staging environment opens to anyone with a Telegram handle. Real BTC/USDT and ETH/USDT data, paper trading on Alpaca, free tier with one full strategy.
Strategy Designer gets three tabs — drag-and-drop, block, and text — for editing nested AND / OR / NOT rule trees. The same editor lands in the mobile app, backed by a FastAPI rules server.
The marketing site, dashboard, and mobile app all ship with English, German, Italian, Spanish, and French. A 10-page docs section, a public strategy library, and a 65-term glossary land the same week.
An annual USDT plan with a meaningful discount, plus a marketplace where authors can publish (and optionally sell) read-only strategies. Tracked on the public roadmap — vote for what you want soonest.
We're a small team that has shipped fintech and quant tooling at large exchanges and trading desks. We're keeping personal details off the site for now — one of us still works elsewhere — and we'd rather earn trust through the product than through founder LinkedIn photos. If you want to talk product, hiring, or partnerships, the email lives on the contact page.
